The High Vicar of San Challah can control them via the Sainting... or so it goes....

Reckoning with two things recently:
1. Being unwillingly Sainted by the High Vicar of San Challah, which can change and even potentially control them if we aren't careful. Will come to fruition when we arrive there.
2. Levistus asked Juriel to free him... and they are going to do it.

...but if you're insane enough to match his freak, then yes, potentially. It might take time to develop for him, but he could get there. He's willing to bend his stubbornness some for people he actually cares about.

OR the "Juriel is manipulative and evil!" route, because fandom audiences are oftentimes incapable of understanding nuance. And Juriel exists primarily within... a LOT of nuance. And Juriel operates very often with being juuuust a little bit of manipulative, but mainly for personal safety reasons.
