As a kid, growing up, I dreamed of two things: teaching and writing. I used to see myself sitting at my desk, students all working fervently on the lesson I gave them (HAHAHAHA) while I sat writing my latest book.

Because the guy acted like I was asking to sell shoes or hair care products in a bookstore. It was the smile turned to impatient and “not-this-again.”

This time, my wife was with me so she got to see the rejection up close! I loved it for her because she got to see what I continue to deal with on this journey. This was the worse kind of rejection too.
