It's SO good. Have taken to watching it now and then over the last few years and am consistently delighted by the Topcraft of it all.

I feel like there's a graft that could make this happen 🤔 I also feel like if it ever actually did happen I'd be full of regret for laughing about it because it's going to be some guy's face transplanted onto a pie plate and kept alive through horrific arcane Apoth means to Din's great dismay. 🤩🤩🤩

You're getting dunked on for saying people were MORE susceptible to misinformation and mob mentality in a nebulous "back then" when there is no evidence that this has actually changed and plenty of evidence to the contrary. People are just susceptible, period.

It's fair to say that a bunch of peasants ran off on crusade regardless, but the goal of launching the Crusades absolutely wasn't to try to propagandize the agrarian labor force into Not Working. It was to give surplus troublemaking members of the warrior class something to do. This's a known thing.

You're misapplying generalist knowledge to a specialist subject. For example, when medievalists discuss their subject, one thing that comes up a lot is "which Middle Ages where?" Because France in 1350 is not Kiev in 950, and so on. It's the study of a ton of places and cultures and peoples.

It's extremely difficult to take you seriously when you keep calling peasants "pheasants" (those are a kind of bird) and when you can't differentiate the medieval, Renaissance, and early modern periods, which were subject to different social and economic conditions.
