dreams within dreams, intersecting timelines and possibilities, characters remembering (forgetting) pasts they had (or didn’t). i don’t have many observations about part 14. words fail. it’s just one of the most magical pieces of art ever made. lynch truly went rogue in the wild wild west.

still think the scariest, most confounding moment in the whole series is when Charlie asks Audrey “…or do I need to end your story too?” It’s truly terrifying. I have no idea what it means. She’s clearly lost in some pocket reality or type of hell. But what/who REALLY is Charlie?

Bobby orders his usual/clearly there to see his ex wife, Hank tells him “nothing’s happening” with Norma. James sings a song harkening back to a doomed tragic romance from 25 years ago. Audrey, seemingly in a loveless marriage, doesn’t know who she is
No love = our story stays stuck

“I just want to change or die.”
The redemption of Anthony Sinclair made me cry tonight. His arc embodies the deeply spiritual and humanist ethos of the show/Frost/Lynch.
Humans can be selfish. But there is inherent goodness in all. It can take an angel (or dandruff) to save them.

The Accountant at The Farm (truly one of the best sequences in Twin Peaks btw) asks Mr C if he needs any money. He says no. Cuz he doesn’t need anything. He only wants. Consumes.
Lot of consumption of pie in this ep…
Who is the Accountant btw? A Lodge Entity? He seems to know Mr C

Amy Shiels’ Candie is spectacular. The pure look of joy for each of Bushnell’s gifts is escalating genius with each reveal. The ep brings up material wealth and love quite a bit. Janey E tells Dougie she loves him as they overlook the haunting display that is Sonny Jim’s new gymset

The “crazy casino” music that plays during this scene is one of my favorite Angelo tracks ever made. Just a fuckin fever dream. Sounds like a slot machine from heaven on acid and it kicks off an episode all about Love and Manifestation. That’s the story, Charlie.

Speaking of code: all the new names we hear in this ep are abstracted false names of Coop, Audrey, and other legacy characters. “Billy” is Coop - he’s missing, she needs his help and loves him. Abby and Natalie talk about a “Clark” who can’t be faithful to one woman. Clark is (cont)

“You know I don’t have a crystal ball,” says a guy with a crystal ball on his desk. Can we believe anything Charlie says? Or is he just speaking another language? There are over 6000 languages spoken on Earth, Albert.

We never find out what that sound was in the kitchen, but I kept thinking of witches. Caldrons in a kitchen. She buys a carton of Salems and Bloody Mary mix. Keep your blood, Kriscol.

The most perplexing episode of the season and the moment the series decides to throw all chronology out the window. Perhaps the Bluest of Roses in all of The Return…let’s rock.

The return of Gersten Hayward, no longer playing piano, it’s Heartbreaking

Possibly my fav ep of s3. Cherry pie can save a life, a cigarette tastes good with coffee and donut, classic Shelly bad boy lust, and some Next Generation Briggs marital drama all swirling together into classic Twin Peaks surrealism that still feels/felt so distinct and new from s1 & 2
