Hm, I might download it again just to check it out. I haven't been on there in years so I'm not sure what it's like nowadays but glad there's at least a filter for that stuff.

And I don't mean to moan or target this toward anybody, it's just thoughts that have been brewing for a long time that I've never been able to articulate. I hope this was somewhat coherent, if anyone reads any of it.

which I think is cool, but in a game where most relationships aren't canon + considering shipping is unserious fun/wish fulfillment/headcanon anyway I don't think proclaiming a ship sucks or can't ever work (w/o censoring the name out of respect for shippers) helps anybody. (9/9)

So basically I get it. But to also claim the ship is "bad/boring/lame/nonsensical/unrealistic" or whatever still seems disingenuous especially when you are putting it in the context of how it might compare to another ship w/ said characters. Everyone's "canon" for this game is different (8/)

which is valid. I don't think everyone has to ship it at all. But I do think antis take a very pessimistic viewpoint of their relationship, which is only fueled by the direction SE has taken both characters that lends their relationship to be easily read that way, if that makes sense? (7/)

attract as much negativity as Estimeric, but as the most popular NPC ship (according to AO3) I guess that is bound to garner hate for it. I do believe part of it is homophobia ofc, another is 'getting in the way' of OC ship stuff, while another is just straight up "doesn't appeal to me" (6/)

It clearly caters to W*L/NPC headcanons and there's nothing wrong with that per se. Personally it's not my thing, and they get a lot of support from what I've seen compared to other ships and dominate even character tags. Cool, no hate. I haven't been in other NPC ship spaces so idk if they (5/)

to the belief that they are exes or it wouldn't work out. Obvi it will never be canon, and SE has written their relationship after HW in such a way that shipping it can prob be seen as nothing more than delusion lol. But that goes for pretty much any NPC/NPC ship in this game I feel like? (4/)

place maybe too much importance on the angst (for lack of better term) of their relationship. "It can't work", "they're exes", "they hate each other", etc. You've heard it all. In the past I've already talked about why the third statement is untrue, so I won't again. But I get why ppl subscribe (3/)

It's one of those you either love it or you don't. I personally think the two knights who have gone thru everything together trope is great. I love the commander/subordinate aspect. The 'your friend/lover or your duty' angst. The doomed love, the yearning, all of it. But I think a lot of antis (2/)
