I wrote my own rather than wrangle an existing proxy. It wasn't too bad really, depending on what you're trying to accomplish with the proxy. I wanted a proxy to start up and shut down ec2 instances, without requiring my kids to have to jump through hoops to play. Tricky, but strangely fun.
