this graphic neatly illustrates a decline (the average falls to 14 since 2020). fighting form is one thing but fighting a nemesis you thought you overcame is something else. this is the latter, imo.

this is a great grouping. much fuller and a touch wider and virat couldn't hold back from fishing. ideally, should have left it alone.

the fourth-fifth stump dismissals of virat kohli are super jarring.
why? because it appeared that he’d found a way around it during his purple patch (2014-19).
he widened his stance, which meant a strong (big) front foot stride. the bat came out straighter, well aligned with his feet.
