This has always struck me in regard to Spence. Although I’ve never heard anyone mention it, a cursory glance at his full name suggests he comes from a black nationalist family, and this probably impacts how he talks to (white) managers, who aren’t used to blk players with politics.

What about an early Klopp-like system with double 8s who can run, using turnovers are the creative element. Leaves an issue vs bunkered in teams, but those leave you wide balls I to a box and we have a fairly large team.

I feel like gray should go on loan this year. While staying to train with TF would be positive, where will he get minutes? Behind Porro and Spence? Udogie and whoever else comes in at LB? We have (checks notes) 30 center backs. DM?

I’m not sure. I’m an Angnostic myself (he’s a friend of a friend after all)-and I k ow we improved, but I was the home NLD last year to see us lose a game on a header for a corner, so, you know, it feels different to see they’d turn aside 16 of them today
