Could do better!

Many Kindertransport children (often their families’ only survivors of the holocaust,) were sent off with the family treasures hidden on them, sewn into coat linings etc. to keep their valuables from falling into the hands of fascists. Now there’s fascists at the other end of the journey too.

There’s been a lot of trump, a lot of anti fascism stuff (yay- but shame it’s needed) a lot of politics, quite a lot of innuendo and creatures being cute (not together) some confessions, some celebrations and some funny cartoons, cool art and creativity. Welcome back x

Unless you are second favourite character- they always get killed off, even when not a horror film

The Good Samaritan would be a very different story.

The kind of Christianity that has no roots in bible and wilfully misinterprets it. You cannot be a Christian and support nationalism at the expense of treating a stranger as your friend, helping those in need or any other fundamental teaching at the heart of the bible and Christianity.

An embarrassment of pandas to paper over all the other embarrassments!

Expect it to get a bit worse for you before it gets better as they may rebel against new rules and not be used to consequences- frame it as natural consequence not punishment. But being consistent will ingrain the new behaviour. Knowing the game will stop will help them remind each other too.

Hope this helps

You can play music in room and say something like if you can’t hear the music you are being too loud - reminders such as can you hear the music work better than stop shouting - try positively frame it, kids brains don’t process negatives - don’t think of elephant just makes us think of it.

Preferably introduce the problem let them suggest solutions- they may have one that works better, if not see if they agree to this. Alternative being can t play on it at all if it’s going to get a nuisance noise order. Get them onboard from start and lots of opportunity to re-regulate.

Be consistent - every time noise exceeds expectations remove controller or turn off game. You don’t return it til they are quiet so shouting and complaining about it resets the clock. They need to get used to using indoor voices - discuss this ahead with them.

Very low volume on games so not escalating noise. A tangible limit- eg if you make a noise louder than tv then game immediately goes off for 5 minutes. Losing flow in game may be irritating enough to make them stop plus more immediacy as a consequence and more fitting than taking it away fully.
