All the kids granted French nationality last year and they had to decide which country to ride for. Lived here since 2009.

2/I always say that I don’t worry about what they are doing, it’s the vehicles on the road that scares me. Even my youngest are super aware on the road. They want to go out training alone (live in Brittany). But it feels like every month now there is another horrific incident.

1/Listening back to today’s stage. You’ve been talking about safety issues and given examples of recent dreadful accidents. From my children who cycle, 1 just turned pro (Conti team), 1 is junior 1 and twin girls who are 12. Every time they go out training, I feel unsettled. It’s really hard.

2/2 It also trickles down to the younger riders too, eg Juniors, who will then be looking for teams as elites. Despite scouts looking at very young riders now, there’s still examples of those who have worked up, methodically. And this is good to see.

1/2 Best of luck for 2025. Interesting reflections in your wrap-up of the year. Obviously we’ve been hit hard in Brittany with 2 of the top N1 teams stopping. Lots of last min calls to other teams for many riders.
