The carp motifs on this kimono scattered across the diagonal bands showcase the technical mastery of rinzu weaving, where the damask technique creates subtle textural variations that allow the fish forms to emerge and recede within the fabric's surface. 1940-1960, Japan

Had to stop at all the freaky deaky stations. Nothing says you're in the twilight zone after passing a dude in a white duvet, two cops waiting for another guy in a silver jacket, and opera played in the station

All in all, a normal night.

A Jizō statue (known as O-Jizō-sama or Jizō Bosatsu in Japan), a beloved Buddhist bodhisattva. These small, often child-like stone figures are a common sight across Japan, found along roadsides, in temples, and particularly in cemeteries and gardens like the one pictured at Enkō-ji Temple in Kyoto.

I went to Calgary for hopefully the last time. I explored Dragon Mall and had a great time again.

I need to do more in Calgary at some point than just run errands.

I'm watching Jojo's Bizarre Adventures in the dub and I am honestly dying at how funny it is. Even more so than I was expecting, to be honest. Stardust Crusaders is the weirdest road trip show ever.

Utagawa Kuniyoshi's "Self-portrait as a cat lover", mid 19th c, Japan, depicts the artist surrounded by cats.
Kuniyoshi was known for his love of felines, and his studio was reportedly filled with them; he placed them into many of his works, often as a form of satire to cleverly evade censorship

And I'm nearly done Fire Force. Quite a wild ride.

Dio Brando is so gross and still a hater.

On another note, nearly done the first season of Jojo's Bizarre Adventures and jesus is it both ridiculous and entertaining.

Joseph Joestar is the gift that keeps on giving. I get why people enjoy this.

It's convenient, but it's certainly gone to shit in the past while.

I need to GTFO from this ass backwards province.

People have to stop letting people get away with shit simply because they have one thing or another they can use as an excuse.

I nearly got hit by a kid on a scooter in the mall because his aide wasn't watching him. The kid knew what he did. No apology and still being a menace.

Fuck that.

I'm making the so not impressed face at the moment due to FINALLY figuring out how to scan from my laptop and wishing that the RCMP could do the dry stamps harder so that I don't have to put two heavy books on it for it to be scanned. UGh.

This summer kimono showcases a striking geometric pattern that bridges traditional motifs with modernist sensibilities. The garment displays yabane (arrow feather) motifs rendered in alternating golden yellow and silvery blue-gray through the shibori resist-dyeing technique. 1926-1940, Japan

Im honestly so fucking fed up with Albertabama and their stupidity.

Sure, let's punish teachers for wanting to make education better. Once the rig pigs get their rights stripped away, no one will listen to their whining. This is what is in the future. Fuck the UCP.
