Heartbroken by the passing of dear friend and colleague Alan Young. Alan saw paths to justice before the rest of us and pursued them with vigour and wit. Remembering many laughs. A huge legacy. He gave so much to all of us who had the privilege of working with him.

Looks like Fridays are Make Immigration Great Again day at IRCC. [sic] 🙄
Last Friday they abolished Student Direct Stream + Nigeria Student Exchange.
Today, they announced that "New regulations for international students have taken effect" + this moral panic ad on fake marriages.

Well... it's past midnight in India and China, and Friday night in Africa. Or maybe people release such news from home.🤔

People should be looking to the legal framework governing security around the 2024 G20 Summit in Rio (Nov 18-19)... As usual, a special legal regime is already in place and this one is valid only from Nov 14 to 21, but its consequences may be longer.

People should be looking to the legal framework governing security around the 2024 G20 Summit in Rio (Nov 18-19)... As usual, a special legal regime is already in place and this one is valid only from Nov 14 to 21, but its consequences may be longer.
