My sophmore year of college. My sister was visiting and it was Easter and we were both away from home. Went to a Toulouse Lautrec (one of my favs) and Friends exhibit at the Smithsonian. I rounded a corner and laid eyes on Theophile Steinlen's Chat Noir Gaudeamus. I was stopped dead in my tracks.

Another day, another terrorist shooting up our public spaces. All so a group of cowards can pretend to be tough guys. I'd say enough, but it's never enough collateral damage for them to give up their security binkys. We all pay the price for their insecurity.

Sometimes it's mental illness, or racism, or domestic abuse, or xenophobia, or homophobia, or depression, or criminals, or (bad) cops.

But it's always the guns.
