it feels more that "the Fates retired and an age of mortals is upon us" being his grand plan is a reasonable conclusion, but *how* we get there feels abrupt and unexplained. If anything, Chronos abducting the Fates causing them to decide to take a break makes *him* the Agent of Change :/
