when city pop blew up ~10 yrs ago i learned v quickly that i was the odd one out & did not share the opinions of the herd abt most of what i was hearing (tho tatsuro is still the absolute king of pop). once i found the japanese electronic goth-industrial scene, things started to make way more sense

that said, i'm still totally out of touch after spending the past decade in a cocoon trying to learn about my roots or whatever. wouldn't trade it for a thing but it still has a tendency to isolate me from these things pretty hard. soundcloud has always felt p alien to me & generally tedious to use.

yeah, i think "kitbashing" is a really keen description for the type of aesthetic i want to drill into more seriously w/ Blender. improvised technology, adhoc repairs, enhancements, and problem solving. i feel like even just the cables have the potential to tell a story about what this creature "is"

Look, I'm not posting this thinking it's gonna turn heads - it's low detail and there's zero shader work to even be considered - I agree with all that, but keep in mind that I've never even tried to make a pose-able model before, let alone attempt to rig one. It's just a really big milestone for me.
