The Federalist Papers essentially sold the Constitution to the public by explaining why it was necessary and how it would function. Without these essays, many states might not have ratified it.

The Federalist and Anti-Federalist Papers were a series of essays written in the late 1780s debating whether the newly proposed U.S. Constitution should be ratified. Federalist were for ratification and the Anti-Federalist were against. Both sets were against the concept Trump posted.

The president must obey the law like any other citizen.
If a president violates the law, they can be impeached, removed, and even prosecuted.
Checks and balances prevent dictatorship — no one, not even the president, can claim to act outside the law for the "greater good."
