VegMediaWatch is a watchdog group that aims to improve the portrayal of #veganism and #plantbased foods in the mainstream media by exposing anti-vegan bias and amplifying fair and accurate reporting.
At a time when many public figures are using their platforms to vilify #vegan foods at the behest of the meat industry, some are telling the truth about them.

Note: According to the NIH, "ultra-processed plant-based foods offer more favorable health profiles than their unprocessed animal-based counterparts."

By singling out #plantbased foods, @foodandwine.com is, perhaps inadvertently, feeding into meat industry propaganda that vilifies #vegan diets.

The "beautiful day of fishing with friends" might have "ended very well" for the fisherman, but it ended in a grisly, painful death for their victim.

@nytimes.com @carolynryan.bsky.social - Why are you normalizing this sadistic behavior in your reporting?

Milman also notes that #rfkjr was once honest about the impact of animal agriculture, stating: “The factory meat industry has polluted thousands of miles of America’s rivers, killed billions of fish..."

"Food" animals are treated like commodities, not individuals, and they are victims of an industry that is inherently inhumane. These calves are just a case in point. Thank you #News12 for informing your viewers.

No heat. No water (b/c it freezes). No playing. No enrichment. No love. No mothers (because the farmers separate them at birth).

Thank you #PressCitizen for sharing the sordid truth about animal agriculture and for highlighting #plantbased alternatives in your coverage of @veganuary.bsky.social

If you count people going vegan as a result of footage PETA has taken in factory farms and slaughterhouses, then @peta.org has been a very effective organization.
February 2, 2026 at 9:04 PM
Video footage taken by PETA investigators inside a factory forms and slaughter houses is what has convinced tens or hundreds of thousands of people around the world to stop consuming animals. @peta.org knows exactly what they are doing.

How is criminalizing #animalcruelty radical? Isn’t the cruelty itself radical?
February 2, 2026 at 8:52 PM
At a time when many media outlets are vilifying these alternatives at the behest of the meat industry, #TheGuardian is reporting on their benefits to the planet and human health. Note: The Good Food Institute is a global organization that advances protein alternatives.

For the sake of L.A.'s future, the planet, human health and the animals, please center your food reporting on #plantbased alternatives to animal flesh.

According to the U.N., animal ag emits more greenhouse gases than all forms of transportation combined. Given the large amount of CO2 emitted by cars in L.A., that says a lot.
