Undergrad surviving classes and deadlines. I care a lot about prescription drugs at affordable prices, and I’m not shy about criticizing American healthcare. Mostly here to share thoughts and connect with people about those topics.
6/6 I still think Tymlos is overpriced anyways. Our healthcare system doesn’t have proper checks to price medication based on usefulness. People like my parents are stuck with overpriced drugs that aren’t worth getting considering how much Tymlos goes for in Canada or other countries.

5/6 Package will be delivered on 11/9/25. Today is 11/25/25…The company responsible for the Tymlos told us they had some “shipping errors” and that they’ll get it fixed right away. That was on 11/16/25.

Either they don't know what's happening or these companies aren't transparent with customers.

4/6 On a side note, the actual Tymlos drug is a HUGE stick and they want ME to administer the drug myself. I can barely hold my own against a needle, so what makes them think I can administer it on someone else?! They gave me instructions, but I'm no doctor.

3/6 My parents negotiated some deal with their doctor and we were able to get a $400 reduction cost. $600 is still a lot but at least we got a discount. Still can’t shake the fact that Canadians don’t have to deal with these prices.

2/6 So it turns out Emblem Health doesn’t have Tymlos as a covered medication. That sucks.

Hopefully Medicare gets a hold of a generic branding of this drug, the prices may finally drop. Though that process might take years.
