#ShowMeYourKnits 🧶 take 2. The prompt is Whites and Brights, so this time I'm going with Brights. TBH this describes most of my knitting output - I do like bright colours. This modular sock yarn blanket was knit in 2023, and I named the project Let's Start a Riot, for obvious reasons!😎

I don't have a huge amount of worsted weight in my stash, so it has to be Malabrigo Rios. I fell in love with the Ankara Green, so I shall be using that - a beautiful bright green semisolid that I think will enhance the cables and my wardrobe! 😍🧶

#ShowMeYourKnits 🧶 Liv's prompt this week is Whites and Brights. I am too messy a person to be able to wear white or cream so don't have many white knits. My Whitley Common shawl was knit in white Linen/silk laceweight, which was a lovely yarn but a nightmare to photograph accurately!

#ShowMeYourKnits 🧶 This week, Liv's prompt is cardigans. In recent years I have knit few cardigans: Hitofude in Tosh Merino Light which got frogged (moth damage 😢); and my aran weight intarsia jacket which is so warm it never gets worn. I desperately want to make a cabled cardi, but will I wear it?

#ShowMeYourKnits 🧶 Liv's prompt is holiday themed or coloured knits. My first contribution is more winter themed, my very first tam, and only my second stranded piece. The pale blue/dark green version was my 1st in 2015, and I enjoyed it so much I made another the following year!

It looks like there are 2 options to be voted on by the membership, according to the revised constitution:
www.yourparty.uk/constitution/
The document states that these options were added to the roadmap after debate in regional assemblies of members.

#ShowMeYourKnits 🧶 Liv's prompt this week is Advent Calendars & miniskeins. My first contribution this week is not mini- but micro-skeins called Yarnlings (teeny 5g balls) from Eden Cottage, which are inspiring and great fun.

#FOFriday 🧶 Finally finished my golden stole! It needs a good blocking to bring out the pattern (All that Glisters, pattern to be released in the new year) and it is difficult to photograph in its current state, but I am very pleased with it. Love the yarn, Malabrigo Dos Tierras in Sunset.

#ShowMeYourKnits 🧶 take 2. Not an indie dyer, but a small yarn producer. Ellie of the Doulton Flock produces beautiful yarn from a flock of Border Leicester sheep with a no kill policy - sheep that get to grow old. All the colours in my Flagship vest are her yarn. doultonborderleicesteryarn.com

#ShowMeYourKnits 🧶 this week, Liv wants to see indie designers and dyers. My first indie dyer is Becca @bluebellyarns.co.uk Lovely non-superwash yarns in gorgeous colour combinations. I have knit so many things in her yarns, below is just a small selection, patterns by indie designers too!

#ShowMeYourKnits 🧶 Liv's prompt this week is Knitted Floof. I have sneezed my way through knitting several pieces in Rowan Kidsilk Haze. Love the look, but they are really warm to wear for most of the year!

Interesting, and works for a very simple pattern like his, where colours are alternated 1x1 and he doesn't have to carry the working yarn for more than a stitch. I couldn't work like that for my current project, where I have huge blocks of one colour interspersed with dots of the other.

Our beech tree and Kentish Cob hazel tree putting on a glorious show this autumn, the one russet and gold, the other gold with still some green. Neither quite ready to shed their leaves despite it being November.

#ShowMeYourKnits 🧶 Liv's prompt this week is WIPs. Apparently I have 16 WIPs; this is just 4 of them, the ones I have actually touched this week! L to R: A doubleknit cowl, a stranded vest, two stoles, and the four items in a colourful pile (can you tell I like pink and purple?!)
November 8, 2025 at 9:58 AM
#WIPWednesday 🧶 Kind of obsessed with colourwork at the moment, and this one is a bit different for me as it is DK rather than 4ply, so it is moving quite quickly!

I've finished the deep ribbing on the lower hem of the Flagship Vest, and I'm delighted with the effect of the colours I have chosen - purple, bright pink and lime green on a light grey background.

Having finished 2 🧶 projects this week, I treated myself to a new cast on, Flagship Vest by Stephanie Earp for Espace Tricot. I am using @katedaviesdesigns.com Ooskit as the background light grey, & shades of pink, purple, dark blue, and a gorgeous bright green from Doulton Border Leicester.

#FOFriday 🧶 I'm making up for that last couple of no-finishes weeks by reporting TWO FOs today! A Moebius cowl and a lapghan, both my own designs. Both patterns will be published this winter.

#WIPWednesday take 2 🧶 Forgot, that I started this Leaf Garland crochet garland testerday, pattern by @littleconkers.bsky.social It's years since I did any crocheting, and I had to watch a couple of YouTube videos to refresh my skills, but I think I have finally got the hang of it!

#WIPWednesday 🧶 Still working on everything I was working on last wednesday, except for a couple of swatches for upcoming wips. A cable swatch for some cosy Purl Soho legwarmers, & a stranded swatch for Flagship Vest by Espace Tricot www.ravelry.com/patterns/lib...

#ShowMeYourKnits 🧶 I dragged the coat out of it's vacuum bag and took some fresh photos. The worst damage is along the hem and on the collar and ribbed front. I do think it's salvageable, and it still fits me *gasp!*

#ShowMeYourKnits 🧶 Back in 1978, I bought this booklet for the cover pattern. Mum's friend Margaret, a demon knitter, declined to knit it - too complicated - so I taught myself cables & bobbles and knit it myself. 47 yrs of careless storage, & it's full of moth-holes🥺 www.ravelry.com/patterns/sou...

#WIPWednesday 🧶 Still suffering from cast-on-itis, so I started another cowl this morning! So that makes 6 current WIPs, although 2 are rapidly approaching completion. Today's cowl is another Moebius in lovely Doulton Border Leicester in teal (Saltholme) and Turquoise, leftover scraps from a shawl
