Texas wanted it overturned... They had counted on the Latinos voting for Republicans again and they found out they're not going to so the Democrats probably would have even won Texas or one more seats anyways.
So they're letting the courts save them the embarrassment of reversing a mistake!

Trump seems to have lost the meaning of fair elections the whole idea of keeping the majority of the house or the Senate is by giving people what they want enough that they'll vote you back in and if you doing everything against the people and they don't want to vote for you so be it!!
