Occasionally I will do things like run around SeaWorld for a shiny metal. The armadillo definitely wanted to know why so many people were running through his house.

I always call the summer faculty conference “summer camp for grown ups” and people thing I’m joking but today we made friendship bracelets that described our semesters so really please know I am dead serious.

Stuff that doesn’t get old: seeing your work appear in journals you read and look up to, being able to read citations in your second language, being able to read a citation of yours in a bilingual journal (article is in English but I’d love to get to a place where I can translate the whole thing!)
