It’s basically just a tenor guitar with an added low string another fifth down and a 2 inch shorter scale length. This lets you use tenor guitar voicings, but you have access to the root tonic in the keys that most of the canon is written in.

From the bottom up. F C G D A. Fifths. 21” scale length. It can be simulated on a terz guitar. A 5-18 for instance.
