Which also brings to question why the funds were in a personal checking account and not one dedicated to the zine. Also that they waited months to announce the error, until all/almost all refund periods were in the past.

AFAIK, the person who was running the fanzine called the soap zine/sunshine soap zine is claiming that they were hospitalized months ago and their caretaker spent the donated funds, which were intended to go to charity as well as zine fulfillment, on the bill from the er, and only just announced now

Is it okay if I ask if this is intended to be a faked death fic where Soap isn't actually dead? Because it sounds really interesting, but I'm not in a mental space right now to read stuff where there's permanent major character death. If you'd rather not spoil that then I understand!
