Veb!
@veb152.bsky.social
Yote doing terrible things to cameras in Latvia in between sending cargo containers random places.
29//He/Him//SFW but slightly weird and occasionally large creatures to be expected

Lessons learned: sun prints can still be done, but they gotta cook for a whiiiiiiile or do it early in the day when the sun still hits the side of the window I can open.
This was 1h15min indoors and still kinda dull and not blue x.x Good start though!

Ok
We are having a moment of sun outside.

TIME TO PRINT OH HOW I MISSED DOING THIS

If you are indeed still accepting more - then have a yote :D

Instantly reminded of this again xD

Especially if that comes with some cheap-ass coffee and THIS GORGEOUS VIEW

Just realised that I never had this one posted on Bsky.

Drawn by @pilots.bsky.social, a plane-dragon creature based on Baade 152 (an odd Eastern German project for a commercial jetliner, that is responsible for my online name today).
Still needs a proper name and some art in the future xD

OK, time to actually join in on the #ShittyCameraChallenge fun.

Part 1: in which Veb craves colour during an otherwise dreary Baltic winter. Featuring a camera that is technically 1.9 megapixels?
I think I'll stick with it for the whole month, it is unreasonably fun.

Post a pic you took (no description) to bring some zen to the timeline?

In continued trawling of Flight International archives from the 80s: a solid option for military-industrial themed high school love drama.

Ok so
@anxy.bsky.social drew my 'yote in June, and I apparently completely forgot to post the result.
Time to remedy that, along with any other safety violations in sight.

And now, continuing with photos off the last trip.
Today: some stations from former 750mm railway lines Viljandi-Mõisaküla and Rūjiena-Pärnu (that one eventually converted to broad gauge).
Person who helped me get there is not on bsky, but if you see this - thanks again!

GUESS WHO FINALLY GOT AROUND TO DEVELOPING STUFF

Today: the roll of 120 that was started in February at NordicFuzzCon, and finished at Critical Mass in May (thanks @derg.kvad.xyz for dragging me out to that one).
Featuring: the Corgo Bike.

#filmphotography as well, I guess?

More in the "amazing notes from 90s trade magazines" corner:
- Someone treating a DC-9 same as 20-year-old 3rd series BMW after a winter drift crash
- Propellers that got over perfectionism and now will accept competence rather than perfection
- The most reassuring thing to say before bankruptcy

Thanks, McDonnell Douglas of 1991, I am adding the time-traveling AH-64 Apache to the list of reasonable threats to my existence.

Just remembered I got a couple things commissioned that were not shared here, soooo there we go!
With permission, of course.

@neoyin.bsky.social, once again thanks for the poster-ification of the 'yote!

Continuing to experiment with cyanotype prints.

Turns out I severely underestimated how much UV window and colour negatives blocked... got two prints out of transparencies way overexposed, but moving in the right direction!
September 11, 2024 at 5:22 PM
I got my hands on some cyanotype chemicals finally!

The results so far confirm that I vastly overestimate the intensity of the Baltic sun, and after washing the sheet, almost all of the image is gone.

At least I got a picture before the rinse this time so you can see there's something there xD

Poor financial decisions leeeeeeet's gooooooo

I finally remembered these were actually done and processed; so there's a couple normal colour trichromes that actually turned out alright.
Then again, that's not really a process to reliably get exact colours and shapes, is it?

A few of the quick snapshots from this weekend - some of the still standing buildings on Valka(Valga)-Koidula-Pechory(Petseri) line.

Built in the late 1880s, and eventually abandoned for all but 1 station on each end in 2001.

Time for a little weekend exploration trip.

So weird to be watching internationable busses from aside.
Even weirder is Flixbus' solution to bike transport xD

Furries on slide film, hell yeah.

Honestly; still just surprised that expired roll actually survived well enough. Plus there is something oddly magical about the positives, even if you need to take out a small loan to buy it over here xD

I keep going back to Tallinn.

This time at least there was an excuse of a small music festival in a former-probably-factory-turned-indoor-skate-park

Took this on a whim while hunting out some trichromes, and, man, I oddly like this picture.

It's glowing.
The Structure is glowing.
It's spilling out the monochromatic void.

It doesn't, of course, because wood doesn't glow; but I need to play around with effects and fabrication more now.

Finally, it's back on the adventure trail for terrible bike and beaten up, but good, camera crew!
