While systems might be developed faster using AI, it will result in "black boxes" that developers don't understand, which aren’t adequately tested, which are security nightmares, which can’t be modified (without compounding the situation), and which will result in Y2K-like scenarios on steroids.

I’m alarmed about how people are using AI to develop systems, essentially prompting LLMs to write code, then, after some testing, releasing the code as complete. They deride those that suggest code should be subjected to code reviews and objective, systematic testing - which might slow down release.
