They were trying to decrease the value of the ruble. Butit seems to have stablised when increasingly weak harvest number got out. Plus the need to import fuel now and parts to restore production from abroad, that this would fuel inflation to much?
As you often say they don't have any good options!

Could we hypothesise that because of risico gas prices and fuel shortages, the russian economy would move towards more goods transportation by rail?
Ergo if Russian railways was not the problem we should have seen an increase? Unless the russian economy is declining at an even faster pace of course.

I think we should also take inflatie into account. Which would be at least 20%.
