Though Paul Ryan did the other Avengers related cards by the looks of it and Bagley seems to have signed his cards. I think it's Ryan.

Is it definitely? It looks more like Paul Ryan to me and he's his creator and would have been drawing him at the time.

Interviewing well-known homophobe and misogynist Tipsarevic. I think I'll skip that.

I didn't own many of these cards, but I vividly remember this one. Always liked this costume.

Wolfman wrote Adventures of Superman while Byrne wrote Superman and Action. So he was involved early on. He left pretty quickly, though.

The effect of Marvel Snap, maybe.

Is it part of Byth maybe. He was a Hawkman villain who shape-shifted into various monstrous forms at the time.

One of the most obscure characters to ever get a trading card. She only appeared with the Society of Sin/Brotherhood of Evil once, and that was only for a few pages. Then she was in limbo for years until Phil Jimenez used her in his Wonder Woman run.

To be fair, she did start in the theatre and was Tony nominated at one point, but yes generally, US film stars don't return to the theatre as regularly as British stars so not a surprise she doesn't have the same power on stage.

Hayley Atwell has a lot of stage experience. I've seen most of her stage work and she's always been excellent.

Used to love a Milky Way as a kid, then they changed the flavour to vanilla back in the 90s, and I've avoided it ever since.

Yeah, they've focused on villains who had just been used in the title. So Dan Jurgens had brought back Starbreaker and Weapons Master into JLA and Gérard Jones created Deconstructo, he was the villain of the first post Giffen issues.

YeS. Legion 298 was the first issue of the title I ever owned, so I know it well. All Star Squadron was another one. The preview was in JLA 193.

It was when DC did those preview issues within the pages of another title. Like New Teen Titans starting in DC Comics Presents 26 (think that was the issue)

There are some great artists working on this set, but the Legion cards may be the peak given they have a mix of Sprouse, Hughes, Templeton, and Pearson.

I think the younger team was originally created more to balance the 5 Year Later Legion rather than being a direct result of Crisis.

A Roy Thomas retcon in All Star Squadron. Presumably, he came up with it as they both had the same surname.

They did very little with it. One was more into running their business, and the other had a stronger French accent, that was about all. Then they killed one of them off, so it didn't really matter anyway.

Have you read the biography of Vera Atkins of the SOE, A Life In Secrets. So fascinating.

He kind of is. They were putting the Corps back together around this time, and he was the main recruiter.

First few issues of the post breakdowns JLE.

It's set in the present day, but there are some connections. RJ Brande is originally in this series but gets swapped in time with an amnesiac Phantom Girl who becomes Phase. Lar Gand is a member for a while.

She's not, though they play up the mystery of whether she is for a while.
