IIRC during summer/autumn 2024 Mandelson was all-in campaigning to get himself elected as Oxford University chancellor. He failed to get elected in the final round of voting so he was fully open to other gigs by Nov/Dec 2024

Yes tinned tomatoes on toast has some heritage; my dad regularly had it at home. I’ll have it for breakfast in hotels if they have tinned, which is rare nowadays.

Chilli on toast is acceptable. Quicker than baking a potato for leftovers.

Chilli on toast is perfectly acceptable. As are tinned tomatoes on toast once discarded the juice and seasoned well.
