What's overhead/latency like?

First translation of the original story that I've read. Liked it a lot but haven't got much to compare with. Much more "alive" than the old Swedish copy I have somewhere but never picked up.

The container (actual file format) didn't matter since each audio segment is extracted and sent as a separate package to discord. So the network package is the audio container. But for me Ogg files were the ffmpeg defautl and the easiest to read in Go.

Anecdotally, (depends on obs vendor) its about cardinality costs. If you pay per unique label, adding logs can cost a lot less than adding labels to existing events.

When generating some dummy data in a test I've mostly seen people reach for math/rand. Not strictly a "need" in that sense.

I've also seen tons of test code with various implementations of randStr. Maybe something that works for both math and crypto Read would be neat.
