Yes, Canadians are angry about the 51st state rhetoric, we do not want to give America our money, but not visiting has become more than just that. It’s a safety hazard to enter America due to mass deportations. There is increased risk of being searched, interrogated and imprisoned. Not worth it.

I’ve come to the conclusion that the best you can do is present honest information to people. I would love to live in utopia where we could protect everyone…from themselves -but we can’t. Give people research, good info- but we can’t make choices for them without them trying to make choices for us.

As I see it, we need better research into women’s health issues (birth control, endometriosis,etc). We also need to let women make their own choices. We have different bodies, values and lives. What works for me may not work for you, we need all options on the table so you can choose for yourself.

When you are seen as less human than others, something to be controlled, even a good person is not enough to protect you. Dehumanization is dangerous. If you are viewed as less human, you and anyone who tries to protect you are in danger.

Agreed! It would make it so much easier for us Canadians to avoid buying them. At least until America gets its shit together and stops threatening the sovereignty of its allies.

I have often thought that empathy requires a sense of imagination. Imagining life as someone else, not through your own lens. It’s difficult, and requires thought for more than 30 seconds usually… unfortunately, most people seem uninterested in thinking for that long.

social media sites are not the correct place to put these kinds of alerts. There are more appropriate alert systems that can target everyone with a cell phone. Not everyone has social media, and specifically Twitter.
