Can it do that? Surely to undo part of an Act of Congress needs another Act of Congress, not just a vote of the House, unanimous or otherwise?

I was reading about an AI that was given the brief to minimise the energy consumption of a dwelling. It concluded the main cause of energy consumption was the occupants, who kept turning on lights and using appliances and things, so it killed them.

A recurring theme from establishment centrists seems to be that supporting X (whatever X might be this week) is irrational, such that nobody who was in possession of the facts could possibly support it. Therefore if you support X you must have been lied to etc etc. Quite patronising on one level.
