Automation doesn't allow for investigating for reenlistments (duty to assist), but it does allow Average Date of Claim to decrease while increasing bonuses.

Bonuses. The VA pays bonuses based on quickly closing a claim and letting the vet or dependent figure out if it was done right. They put their own bonuses above Gold Star families. It's still happening.
