Went for ANOTHER walk today in an attempt to work off some chocolate calories.
The Three Arches where teens would congregate to drink cider and smoke in the 1980s. The River Crouch Mr Fox watching me from the long grass A bit off a vehicle - maybe a motorbike - placed on top of a tree stump. I thought it looked like a robotic fox tree monster.

Just been for a walk to work up an appetite for more chocolate.
A blossom tree under cloudy skies. Some bluebells. Well I think they're bluebells but I'm no expert. Some graffiti under a bridge. A green troll saying, "who's that clip clopping over my bridge? I'll gobble them up!" A 'hotel' for bees and bugs.

In early 1960s issues of Essex Countryside magazine there was much discussion in the readers' pages of Essex pudding - something they ate in the 1890s/1900s as a first course with lots of gravy. One reader supplied a recipe & I had a go at cooking one but it didn't turn out very well 😞
Essex pudding recipe: 2oz plain flour, 1 egg, a pinch of salt. Mix to a thickish batter, add one tablespoon of water & take a small basin (breakfast-cup size), grease well & fill to the rim with the mixture. Make a large fold in greaseproof paper & pudding cloth & cover basin top with these tied very securely with string. Steam 1 hour in a large saucepan without lifting the lid, then take out, cut string & take off paper & cloth. The pudding pops up to nearly double its original size. Turn out onto a dish & serve in portions, adding gravy as required.
