TLDR I'll be trying to post more of everything I make, not just the highlights. I'm an artist and I make a lot of things.

I won't let social media keep me from experimenting!! 💪✨ That's one of the best parts of making art!!!

I've learned that I don't care about having a consistent style anymore. 😋 I just want to have fun with my art and draw whatever I want. I'll be trying to post more of all the art I make, and not just what is deemed "post worthy".

But posting on Big Meow has been so different. It feels like I can explore and work with different styles and do whatever I'm feeling with very little stress or pressure for things to be super perfect all the time.✨🥹

I even found myself drawing in specific color palletes so my art would look good as you scrolled down, and while that's fun, it's an unrealistic expectation!!😡

And I actually have made a lot of art the past year, but didn't post it because it wasn't at the same effort level I've posted at before. 🫣

I slowly realized after having art take me FOREVER that I wasn't having fun anymore. I wasn't studying or exploring or experimenting anymore. The social media mindset got me and everything I made that wasn't "postable" was bad. Having a pretty Instagram feed really got me and limited what I drew.😶‍🌫️

The reason is - I've been exploring what I actually want from my art. 🔍 For a while I felt like I wasn't having as much fun with my art because I felt like everything I made had to be perfectly rendered and the lines had to be CLEAN

and it was a lot. 😮‍💨
