got another idea for an alternate universe 🤡 where Wolfwood is a barista/baker, and Vash is a florist! so many headcanons too, many thoughts head full 😵‍💫

A grayscale Trigun comic featuring Vash and Wolfwood. Against a black background, child Vash floats in Ship 5, curled up and with his thumb pressed to his mouth. Heartbeat noises sound around him, and he looks at peace. The background shifts to white and shows adult Vash, sitting shirtless with his knees pulled up to his chest. The heartbeat sound continues only to be interrupted by knocking. Wolfwood, from outside the bathroom, asks, "Hey blondie! You fell asleep in there?" The scene expands to reveal Vash sitting curled up in the bathtub, shower spraying on the back of his head. His clothes are left aimlessly on the bathroom counter and floor. From outside the bathroom, Wolfwood, shrugging of his jacket, continues, "… The sand steamer leaves at dawn tomorrow so don't take all night. I'm not waking you up gently if you're late." Vash's eyes continue to look downward, glazed and unfocused. Step sound effects and a yawn sound from outside the bathroom before Wolfwood says, "'m going to bed…". In the tub, Vash sits curled up against a dark background, before eventually lifting his head and unfurling himself as the background grows lighter. He twists around to turn off the shower and then looks at the floor, going, "Ah." He sits, thinking, before calling out "Wolfwood?". A sleepy Wolfwood replies, "…yeah?" from offscreen. "I forgot my towel!" Vash exclaims. "Ugh, look under your change of clothes… Knew you'd forget so I left it there…" a grouchy Wolfwood replies. "Gee, thanks!" Vash replies, a cartoony doodle of him saying "so reliable!". Vash, shirtless but with sleep pants on, opens the door, towel draped over his head, to see Wolfwood, reclining on the bed. Wolfwood's smoking and holding his rosary, lit by the light from the bathroom. Vash climbs into bed next to him, towel still around his shoulders, and rests his head on Wolfwood's chest. His eyes close and then open to see Wolfwood watching him. Vash exclaims, "Oh! It's speeding up!", and Wolfwood bonks him on the head before saying, "Get on here since ya wanna be so up close 'n personal!". The two tussle briefly and Vash laughs before Wolfwood tucks the blanket around them. Wolfwood continues to smoke as Vash curls up against his chest and listens to his heartbeat, the background turning black once again as he smiles, content.

Vash, shocked: You could’ve moved it! Wolfwood! Too much of a hassle. Vash: Ah. Sorry… Wolfwood makes a quiet “mm” in response. Vash picks up his folded pants and then leaves the frame with “tap tap tap” sounded footsteps. Wolfwood flips the page. Vash returns into frame, now with sweatpants on, but still topless and a towel around his neck. The perspective is still directly eye level with Wolfwood, so Vash’s body from his chest down can only be seen. He takes a seat on the bed that Wolfwood’s leaning against, landing with a “fwoomp”. Wolfwood flips the page again, not engaging with Vash. Vash sits quietly for a bit before starting to fidget. Then, abruptly, a panel shows him lifting his hand and the next, he’s patting the top of Wolfwood’s head. Wolfwood turns to him when he does, face obscured by his bangs and newspaper. Vash’s hand lifts away from Wolfwood in a startled pose. He questions nervously, “No?” Wolfwood turns back to his newspaper with a sigh and says, “Do whatever ya want. Just don’t distract me.” Vash’s hand spreads in delight before he’s patting Wolfwood’s fluff of hair again. Following 3 borderless panels, the viewer follows an up close view of Vash’s hand as it travels from the top of Wolfwood’s head, patting his hair, before sliding downwards, vaguely massaging his neck. At the the center of the page is a solid view of the back of Wolfwood’s head and back with Vash’s fingers pressing against his neck. The last panel shows Vash putting down a bit more pressure, squeezing the back of Wolfwood’s neck. The first panel shows an angled front up close view of Wolfwood, still holding the newspaper. It then shifts a bit to show Vash and his legs coming into frame. His hand is still outstretched against Wolfwood’s neck, the text effect reading “rub rub”. The panel then backs out to show their back view; Vash seated on the bed, hand reached out rubbing Wolfwood’s neck, who’s seated on the floor. The newspaper is still in Wolfwood’s hands but then in the next panel, Wolfwood lowers the paper and presses his head against Vash’s thigh with a “thump.” Vash lifts his hand in surprise before pressing it gently on the side of Wolfwood’s head, leaning down and asking, “Wolfwood?” The next panel shows an up close of Vash’s soft, smiley expression, viewed in Wolfwood’s lowered perspective. He asks, “Feeling okay?” The next shows an up close of Wolfwood’s relaxed expression, looking upwards at Vash, face a little smushed against Vash’s thigh. He makes a “mhm” sound in response.

A Trigun comic. Vash is shirtless with his back to the viewer, showing off his many scars and metal implants. He complains, “Oh, c’mon... The shirt got stuck... Argh.” Wolfwood’s finger pokes him at the base of his neck, and Vash exclaims, “Ack! Wolfwood!?” Wolfwood, looking down, asks, “Does it ever hurt?” Vash’s eyes go wide with surprise, and he looks down and says, “No-- Sometimes they ache, but nothing unbearable.” Wolfwood kisses the back of his neck and then leans against Vash, silent as Vash cheerfully laughs, “Got it! It’s free, finally!” Wolfwood still looks sad, and Vash turns back and smiles nervously to ask, “What is it?” Hand over the grate over Vash’s heart, Wolfwood says, “... I was just thinking it would’ve been better had I met you sooner.” He hugs Vash from behind, and the background goes dark. “If I were with you earlier, I’d been able to stop you from making dumb decisions. And protect you when you do.” Wolfwood’s expression is heavy as he looks down Vash’s back and says, “Then you’d at least have less of these.” He puts his face against Vash’s back, and Vash, mouth tight, thinks, “.. When he puts it like that... It’s so embarrassing somehow...” Vash moves away and says forcefully, “But-- I don’t want you to protect me. Because then-- you’d get hurt.” Wolfwood angrily replies, “Huh? Are you forgetting-- Scars don’t last on me!” Vash angrily exclaims “Idiot!” and grabs Wolfwood’s collar. Wolfwood, irate, goes, “Idiot!?” but Vash pulls down Wolfwood’s shirt as he leans their foreheads together. He exclaims, “I meant up here!” Vash looks upset and says, “Just because your body won’t leave anything-- doesn’t mean nothing every happened!”

Two comics of Vash and Wolfwood from Trigun Maximum. The second is in the reply with spoilers of post vol 10. The first is in four panels and follows Vash and Wolfwood through hotel rooms. First, Vash and Wolfwood exit adjacent rooms, and Wolfwood has sparkles floating around him as he exclaims, “Rise and shine! Ready to go?” Vash frowns, displeased, and says, Urk— Good morning to you too.” Next, they’re in a room with two beds. Wolfwood is awake and fully dressed. He’s sitting on the bed and smoking, back turned away from the viewer and he says, “Wake up already, sleepyhead.” Vash sits up with his eyes still closed and yawns before saying good morning. After that, they’re sharing a bed, and Wolfwood gets up and says, “Morning, sunshine. Time to get up.” His body shadows Vash from the sunlight. Vash is still lying down with a blanket draped over him as he mumbles good morning. Finally, they’re embracing in bed, both shirtless. Sunlight shines on them, but their contact allows their shadows to drape over their faces. Vash smiles, kisses the top of Wolfwood’s head, and says, “Good morning, Wolfwood.” Wolfwood sleepily says, “Mph, g’morning, needle-noggin’,” snuggling into on Vash’s shoulder.
