love this tidbit from tv tropes that describes めざましテレビ as an "adult's tv show", which i guess is sorta the case but that's like calling nbc today an adult's show: it's "for mature audiences" but not in the same way fucking adult swim is lol
snippet from the YMMV page for chiikawa on tv tropes: "What Do You Mean, It's Not for Kids?: Despite its cute characters and simple story, Chiikawa is a series targeted towards adults. The manga volumes are categorized as Seinen, the Mezamashi TV block which the anime airs on is an adult-oriented program, and the manga does not use furigana in its writing (as furigana is meant to be a reading aid for children or those who are beginners in japanese). There is also some indirect implications of characters dying or being eaten in the manga. doll konata hangs out at sao roque park in the outskirts of porto, portugal. the park is known for its round hedge maze. same as before but now you get to see the background, including a bit of the maze. the maze in question doll konata stands infront of the arrábida bridge, which connects porto with neighboring vila nova de gaia
