The money that goes into maintaining these sign-posts which are naturally redundant, can be used to build better infrastructure. Common sense is indeed not so common.

Ollie was skeptical of Green and his surroundings for a long time, but Green gave him the space and the time to become comfortable. That was true love and affection, and it shows to this day.

I think that is the best way. I have made my decision though, that I will buy only if I want to keep the book forever, else I'm good with an e-copy. Since this was a moving out sale I had little options.

If it's a good book and a fair price, do not negotiate. I won't be buying more books that I don't intend to keep with me, and I won't be selling books anymore. The best I will do is swap with Blossoms.

Such a bad experience.

As potential buyers started flooding my DMs, everyone started lowballing. They wanted books at 30% of the Amazon price. These books are less than a year old and despite explaining and showing the condition of the books, people were negotiating too much.

I posted the books on reddit asking for a reasonable price: reasonable meaning that the books were marked down 50% from Amazon India prices, which are themselves marked down from MRP.

The advantage that companies hold with digital content is that they can do whatever they want with it, including deleting, modifying and restricting access to it. (n/n).

But if digital content is going to be priced this way, then we are truly losing out on autonomy because by design, it would be more convenient to consume digital content, and the content you own will be deliberately phased out. (3/n)

These "other" sources keep shutting down and Amazon's push for their devices is downright aggressive. I have been left with little-to-no choice but to purchase ebooks from Amazon and keep a copy for myself through some means (IFYKYK). (2/n)

I love the food, the culture, the community and all that India has to offer, but I don't see how I can find it to be peaceful when I want to step away from the obligations and live a life of my own.
