I recently found that deleting all my doomscrolling apps really helps.

Speaking of being torn between things and studying impulsively, I have an opportunity to revitalize myself by buying yet another book, and now I’m torn between studying more German or studying more metaphor theory. Idk what to do lol

But, really, wondering this is likely just another way of procrastinating. I should just do whatever’s most effective at that time. It seems that, when it comes to creative pursuits, being impulsive can be a viable and productive option.

Pushing through this book despite these errors. They make the same mistake with Boole’s metaphor for algebras and classes.

What I’m wondering now is if it causes any problems to just swap the source and target domains.

Maybe a few hours for a quick sketch. For more polished stuff, I’m not sure. I start and stop a lot. I don’t really like to focus on how long it takes anyways. I just want to focus on doing it.

I find if I really tinker with the initial lines, things come out well, but I’m wondering if there’s an efficient technique that would maybe save some time/effort or lead to better results, at least until I’ve practiced a whole lot.

Hopefully this isn’t a dumb question, but maybe it is, idk.

Is the best thing to just draw these crossing eye and nose lines and then erase them once everything is there, and hope to reach a point where they’re second nature and I don’t have to draw them any more?

Is that what the pros do?
