Seems like Google’s terrain map could do with some extra filtering. I’m guessing it’s built off of a LiDAR product and in at least some areas (e.g. suburbs) buildings are not getting removed before processing the final map.

Had a fun #hydrology find on our hike yesterday. The signs of recent flooding were really clear: matted grass, debris hung up at the high water level, and sand deposits behind each exposed root. 💧1/3
