It’s very James Gunn. ‘The Suicide Squad’ is the closest analogy. Episodes 3&4 are highlights so far. Didn’t expect to be rooting for GI Robot or Weasel after about an hours worth of animation. Animation is top notch. Voice cast is excellent. Well paced. Superb action.

I hear the gist is that Superman is a hero out of place with newer heroes being corporatised and how he grapples with having been the epitome of heroism, & now being seen as passé/antiquated. Personally I like that approach, and think allegorically it’s spot on with current US politics
