Thank you for this. Occupy DC which happened many years ago was a nightmare for many locals just trying to live. Major arteries in the region shut down without any prior notice was a hardship. With more and more people forced into the office it’s only getting worse.

Please remember there are real people, some with children that need to get to school, work, medical care, etc. in DC. Protest is important but people often lose sight that this is our home and not just the federal city. Police, fire, EMS and regular citizens need to be able to move about the city.

This happened to me and my fiancée… we were stuck with Covid in the Four Seasons in New Orleans for the Beyoncé concert. They brought trays of provisions, fresh sheets and towels to our room and were just so kind. We were in the room for 3 days! The service was outstanding!
