My oldest baby is 15 today. Who said she was allowed to get this old this fast?? It's hard to believe that 15 years ago, we were in the NICU as first-time parents, being so careful of her umbilical I.V. line. I'm unbelievably proud of how smart, kind, empathetic, and funny she is. Love you, kiddo.

Update: 18% of the way there! Her first 2 appointments are now officially booked for Jan 29 & 30. If we can get to at least 1500 before then (what we have to pay up front for the assessment with the remainder being due at the final results appointment) it would be so amazing.

Help for my kid to get assessed for ADHD

Hi, I go by Vanora. I'm an indie author & mom to two awesome kiddos, one of whom is diagnosed AuDHD. My other kiddo is now in desperate need of assessment and we no longer have the benefits coverage we used to. My kiddo is smart, kind, an awesome sibling & all around cool person. It would make her life so much easier if she could get diadnosed & treated for something causing her anxiety, stress, and a lot of difficulty.

I really, truly don't want to see her end up like me: someone who went undiagnosed with AuDHD until they burned out spectacularly in their 30s, struggling with anxiety and depression that seem treatment resistant, until ADHD diagnosis & treatment make it obvious the depression (and a lot of the anxiety too!) were really just a result of unmanaged ADHD. I don't want her to spend the next 25 years struggling the way I did just because her parents can't afford an assessment.

The last few years have been really rough for us; my partner was laid off, is working again, but we're still catching up on bills. My chronic pain has been out of control, so writing/functioning has been extremely difficult for me, and I've just gone through an operation that I'm hopeful will help long term, but for now leaves me even less able to earn.

All of this to say it would mean so much to my kid and to me if we could find a way to make this assessment happen. If you can afford to, please consider donating. 💕

Ringing in 2025 recovering from my breast reduction. I'm 13 days post-op & doing really well, but it's definitely a rollercoaster. Body dysmorphia is real & frustrating. My brain keeps pinging wildly between super happy with them and thinking they're still too big, but either way, worth it.

🎉 I'm now 7 days post boob reduction. I still have a ton of swelling, so hopefully they get even smaller, but it's already so worth it. My shoulder/neck/upper back pain is already gone. 🥹💖
