An empty, poorly-lit couch she used to sit in every day, always reading a new book, always brightly lit by the warmth of an old lamp. The shadowed impressions of where paintings once hung on the walls, a haphazardly placed blanket that used to carry the warmth of a woman we lost, and a single ball sitting on the carpet. There was life here, and there still is, but it won't fill the empty space left behind where she should be, and a hollowing reminder of the regret I have for the time I wasted not sharing the space with her
