Interesting in that what remained of Oracle, only 100,000 researchers were willing to oppose the Starless and even then, only 5000 survived the internal conflicts and mishaps. It makes me wonder if Oracle truly became hedonistic or straight doomers. I'm always more interested in the blank period lol

Reading by the water outside my house is one of my favorite ways to unwind and let my thoughts slow down. Peaceful moments like this are why I'm glad I settled where I am. After all, the charm of a small town never really fades. It’s the heart where legacy and nostalgia are defined.

I think I'll be here on Bluesky from now on. I had friends trying to say I'll "be back" and I was "wasting" my X account. As if I give a damn about that. Unless you're a content creator there's really no point. I always posted for myself and those that try to have an actual community for NGS.

I've speculated that the June Creative Space content is them unironically attempting to incorporate a way for players to create their own combat content. I'd assume this may have been one of the most requested things for CS from the start and could explain why they slowed down its updates.

One reason I specifically stopped engaging much in spaces in this community or with people is because so many players can't even have discussions properly. It's all vibes, emotions, and no sound arguments. You put weak points under even an ounce of scrutiny, and it all falls apart and they flail.

I wouldn't be surprised if in the coming chapters we finally get into this Bridge/Control Room since I'm pretty sure it's the location mentioned back in Chapter 6 only Zephetto can access. At least if something is to be done about the DOLLS (in-story) or gaining a degree of control.

I like introductions. I'm Homika. Sometimes Vanity. Or Mari in IRL contexts. I'm 26. I'm talkative and rhetorically aggressive by default. I'm aware that this can be off-putting to some, so I keep myself on a leash. I just try my best to be kind and not indulge in performative negativity.

I finally got through all my OC introductions. I tend to keep my OCs pretty bland and boring since I'd rather them naturally fit into things rather than being off the walls. But that's just my preference. I tend to write thinking "this stuff definitely happened at some point" but with no real order.

My last and most recent character, Eirisia. She's probably the most esoteric of the bunch and the only one I took a lot of liberties with mostly due to my love of the original Tetralogy. Eirisia is a Newman that originates from Algol so like one's of Oracle she is highly proficient in the usage of Techniques; however, she was specifically engineered to inherit the ability to wield Magic. For reference, Magic is distinctly different from Techniques in Phantasy Star and Techniques are just scientific reproductions of true Magic. Anyway, because of that I classify Eirisia as technically being an Esper. Personality-wise, she is extremely haughty, proud, disciplined, elegant, and rather bigoted (mostly towards ARKS). This stems from the fact that she was temporally displaced from her time period and found herself in unknown territory on Halpha. Naturally, she attacked every enemy that approached her and that included any ARKS Operatives. Kallen was unfortunate enough to make her first acquaintance and after losing pretty terribly she pretty much hates her. After being subdued once she was outnumbered, she was put under arrest for the time. To her she sees much of the technology of this era as backwards and sees most ARKS as basically being cavemen banging rocks together. Even when being treated fairly she refuses to become a member of ARKS. Ransu being how he is, advocated for her release and offered to be responsible for anything that happens. Since then, she's begrudgingly become a member of his team and offers her unique perspective and knowledge from a more advanced era. I haven't fully figured out what I'll do with her but she's a fun rogue element because she clashes in some way with all of my characters. Technically speaking she is the strongest but not invincible. And the only reason she even is considering helping is because she just wants to get back home and the space-time fluctuations from the Starless are the cause.

Next up is Izuru. Izuru similarly to his "sister" Homika is also a Hi-CAST prototype. However, his original purpose is unknown to himself. He specializes in the Fighter class and wields all of its weapons but has a preference for the Double Saber. In combat, he is the most deadly among all of my characters, but also the least synergistic with team dynamics. Originally, he was active as a rogue operative before being "convinced" to join ARKS. Personality-wise, he's aloof, reserved, brooding, and has the emotional range of a teaspoon. Even as a member of ARKS, he isn't one for camaraderie and largely prefers to stay on the move around Halpha. As a member of the Independent Guerilla Corps, it offers him the freedoms to not be tied down and handle tasks without many constraints. He values that freedom and often thinks to himself about what lies beyond Halpha's gilded cage. To that end, he harbors resentment towards Starless for limiting the potential of himself and others and is solely focused on carrying out his tasks to make progress. To that end it's also a part of his character I want to expand upon more. How I see it is since Photons resonate with emotion and grow stronger in a collective it's something over time I'd want him to learn to value. Especially when it comes to teamwork and being able to smile and enjoy time with others. He is strong and no one would doubt it. But he can't do everything alone. That being said, I have this dynamic between him and Kallen where she always wants to test herself by fighting him and he does everything to brush her off or literally run away. He's rarely around and will just show up for meetings out of formality before leaving. That being said, he respects Ransu even if he doesn't agree with all of his methods with running their squad.

Haru was my fourth character and the first that was made solely for NGS. Ransu, Homika and Kallen were my original three from PSO2, but I wanted to expand the roster in the new era too. Honestly, the SS I'm using here doesn't match her demeanor at all but I'm a bit lazy to take specific ones for each introduction. Haru is a Dewman (shocker) Ranger with a preference for using Rifles. While she can participate in combat if required it's not her forte. Haru originally was a Lecielan researcher mostly involved with Halpha's weather patterns and DOLLS development. Since the integration of Lecielans into Halpha's ARKS she has tried her best to contribute how she can within R&D to make amends. Personality-wise, Haru is introspective, demure, quick-minded, and highly empathetic. She has many regrets of her own hand in the Halpha Experiment like many of her peers. The rational part of her knows she was simply following Zephetto's orders, but when touching down on Halpha later the realities of the people no longer being numbers on a screen and the exposure to everyone's Photons changed her. After becoming more emotionally receptive she's developed some things like a tendency to ramble on topics she's knowledgeable on or overthinking/overpreparing for every scenario. There's still a lot of smaller side stories I want to explore with her just because she's fun to write when it comes to the dynamics between all my characters. I think I said before back in another place that each of my OCs are essentially aspects of myself split apart and greatly exaggerated. Anyone who knows me well will be able to pinpoint those.

Ransu was my first character and maybe the one I have the most attachment to since he's the connecting point of all of my characters. The heart so to speak. I have a lot to say about him that can't even fit here so I'll likely just cover the surface level. Ransu is a Human Bouncer that specializes in Dual Blades for combat and is gifted in the efficient use of Photons. He acts as the unofficial squad leader for my characters. He is part of the ARKS Independent Guerrilla Corps (like most of my OCs) before a promotion into R&D. Ransu functions as a stabilizing constant. His leadership wasn’t assigned through ceremony but assumed naturally as others on the team deferred to his consistency and capability. Personality-wise, Ransu is stoic, dependable, a bit dense, and quietly charismatic. He rarely raises his voice, rarely postures, and almost never goes against his word. He presents himself as unshakable and the kind of person who always has a plan and always endures hardship and takes responsibility. Beneath that composure, however, he carries unresolved grief, particularly tied to the loss of his first partner within ARKS. He has yet to come to terms with it and so he internalizes it, and channels it into protecting others and ensuring no one under his watch is left behind. I suppose it makes him both a pillar and a blind spot within the squad. He is doting in action but emotionally guarded, offering stability to everyone else but denies himself the same care. To Kallen, he is an example of what an ARKS should be and the one constant she orbits without understanding why. To Homika, he represents grounding and restraint in contrast to her need for control and visibility. Even Izuru and Eirisia despite their standoffish nature, respect Ransu's competence and leadership. But Ransu doesn’t see himself as exceptional or irreplaceable and he's unable to understand how deeply he matters to those around him. Oh, and he has a Photoner eye. But don't worry about that.

Second up is the third character I created during the original PSO2 service. I should have mentioned before that I retooled all my original three characters’ stories (Ransu, Homika and Kallen) from back then to function in the NGS continued continuity. Kallen is a Newman Force with exceptionally high Photon sensitivity, wielding Rods as her preferred method of channeling Techniques. She survived a crash caused by a malfunctioning Meteorn descent pod in the frozen seas of Kvaris. That first experience upon awakening left her with a lasting fear of darkness and enclosed spaces. However, Ransu rescued her, and since then he has been the one person she anchors herself to within ARKS, remaining fiercely loyal to him even if she would never openly admit it. Personality-wise, I would describe Kallen as intense to the point of fanaticism. She’s ruthless, obsessive, and unfiltered, speaking abrasively to everyone. She pushes people’s buttons, tests their resolve, and delights in the rush of confrontation, especially if it gets under Homika’s skin. Kallen and Homika share a rather antagonistic yet somehow friendly bond. Most would assume they hate each other, but it's far from the truth. Anyway, despite her bravado, she’s terrible at taking care of herself and far more vulnerable than she lets on, weighed down by loneliness and abandonment fears she both projects and feeds into with her actions. Anyone who somehow manages to get close to her would quickly realize that her outward aggression is a shield for someone who burns hot because she’s terrified of being left in the cold again.

First up will be my "main" character, Homika. Homika is an assigned Hunter who specializes in Wired Lances and serves as the lone Hi-CAST prototype of her scrapped model line. She was originally designed as an artificial humanoid interface to monitor Photon Potential tied to emotional stimuli, but she was deemed "defective" for mass production. Instead of being fully discarded, the only functional unit was sent to Halpha to see if she could operate as an ARKS Operative among the 3rd Generation of the Halpha Experiment. Personality-wise, I'd say Homika prides herself on style, confidence, and being unapologetically herself. She's a self-made socialite and goes to vanity-fueled lengths to present as more human than machine, from her fashion sense and her haughty mannerisms. On the surface she’s rather vain, but beneath the glitz and glam is someone who struggles with her own artificial existence and refuses to lose whether it’s a fight, control, or the people she cares about.

Since this is the first post on this account I'll start with the picture of my OCs in their "canon" outfits. From left to right it shows: Haru, Izuru, Ransu, Kallen, Eirisia, and Homika. All of them are part of the same squad unit within ARKS. I think compared to my "main" account on Twitter - which frankly I am growing tired of - I will try to focus here more on my character's stories I write but don't typically share, my theories/yapping when it comes to the lore, and maybe my thoughts on other things since I wouldn't want to be completely beholden to NGS alone. That being said, I hope anyone that gives it a look finds something to take away since I am a very introspective person.
