The best way I can explain it is that Unmei has all of Shindou's hater tendencies (Shindou's a bitch (affectionate)), while Ren acts the way Shindou does with the people he actually likes (Ren's both chill and nice, an impossible combination for a Raimon captain)

-- I'm sure they could become much closer if Ren is able to stop placing Haru on that damn pedistal, so I so hope we get some post-canon stories with them interacting more like that

-- Haru cares about and trusts Ren too (he listens to Ren like All The Time) but he can't muster the confidence to talk to him bc of the distance they have, and Ren's Haru's closest friend before Unmei shows up. --

Like does Afuro Terumi know about this? Does he know these kids are worshipping him? Does he know the captain of this team can Turn Into his younger self?

I'm too low level to beat the Zeus match but I love that, from what I could see, the team is split between people who genuinely seem to believe they're gods and are a part of the weird Aphrodi cult, and the other half who just want to play football and think the others are freaks

One detail in the final match I loved was how Sakurazaki sticks close to Unmei in most shots, presumably to make sure he isn't overexerting himself (oughhh them talking about the fact that it all started with the two of themm, them smiling at each otherrrr I was fed well)

I'm so glad I didn't get spoiled for Kidou bc when that camera panned up I felt like I got hit by a flashbang Kidou you fucking hipster

Ren gets invited to dinner again at a later date and despite his trepidation he goes bc Haru's there and he wants to be a good friend, only to be saved bc Haru is an actual good cook (Haru himself is immune but enough of his uncles have keeled over for him to know that his mum's cooking is toxic)
