Mr. and I recently went on a two-week trip to Greece and Turkey. On our last day, we found ourselves at Soil Restaurant in Athens, a MICHELIN one-star restaurant, and a recipient of the MICHELIN Green Star. Let me walk you through the 15 items on the tasting menu plus our overall experience.

The other day my friend Lisa and I went on a coffee date at Chai Coffee Company in Surrey. It's a cafe tucked away near the Scott Road SkyTrain Station with Indian flavours incorporated in their food menu. We tried a bit of everything and here are my thoughts.

I was invited to a tasting event hosted by the Prosecco DOC Consortium. We got to sample different styles including Brut, Extra-Dry, and Rosé, paired with small bites featuring worldly flavours to showcase the versatility of Prosecco. Here is a list of Prosecco that I liked.

The Neate family (owner of JJ Bean Coffee) first started their business in Vancouver in the 1940s delivering coffee and donuts around town. The donut aspect was lost over the years but now they're bringing it back. Enters Neate Donuts. I was in the area so I went to check it out.

I took Papa Lam to Honolulu Coffee's Downtown Vancouver Nelson location for their Hot Chocolate Festival creations. They have two flavours available throughout the festival. They have actually extended their offerings to end on February 17, 2025 (the official festival ends on February 14).

Alouette Bistro's Dine Out menu offers limited, but solid choices, and some of my favourite classic French dishes. So, I was quite excited to take Papa Lam as my lunch date to try their Dine Out menu. Yes, their $49 menu is available for lunch too.
