This is exactly how fascism gets baked in.
NPR CEO Katherine Maher says she regrets her years-old tweets calling Trump a fascist and a deranged racist: "I regret those tweets, I wouldn't tweet them against today. They represented a time when I was reflecting on something that the president had said rather than who he is."
