Roger worked with Sir Harry Vane who he met in Massachusetts Bay Colony in 1636. Lifelong friends. He visited Vane twice when he went to England on matters of the Rhode Island patent/charter. Vane ensured the separation of church and state passed the committee he served on. 1st in the colonies.
