my next year is pretty much hard booked with releases from my Very Big Passion Project (that i am so so excited about), but after. man i just wanna write an album about like. just being alive and finding joy despite how dire shit seems in the world. i need to be hopeful i need to be gayer

For sure!! Im mostly using this text as a basis to fill some of the gaps in my knowledge and then do my own analysis work

which btw its crazy that in grad school i took so many classes focusing on musical analysis and we never broke down a jazz work as a class. that feels wack as fuck to me

my education was very very classical orientented so while i am very very familiar with alot of prodecures found in the classical/romantic/post tonal era of concert music, i can not confidently speak on jazz theory !! So i am putting my student hat back on 👒

i had to sit down and schedule out a bunch of production deadlines for people im working with and its kind of fun seeing everything blocked out on a calendar. organizing's kinda fun
