Corpo crossover culture is saturating so much of the market right now. It feels like a desperate ploy to maintain profitability of existing IPs instead of just innovating on new IPs. If the company can't milk its products, then they take turns milking each other's products

I'm not trying to say we should bring back damsels in distress and re-popularize them because tbh they weren't super duper interesting, but you don't have to be a damsel to be in distress

Nowadays, it's almost always a male character getting stuck in quicksand and needing to be rescued by the strong female character, I rarely ever get to see ladies sinking anymore because of it.
Usually the male character is just portrayed as being foolish or stupid when it happens, too.

Even with lewd/NSFW stuff, some of it can come off as very samey to me if the expressions aren't inspired and the scene isn't character-driven.
